Scarring

Unsightly scarring can be atrophic (indented) or hypertrophic (raised). Advanced techniques using a high frequency energy is utilised to smooth the skin and reduce the appearance of the scar. The colour cannot necessarily be changed or improved but any irregularity in depth or density can be softened and smoothed resulting in a more cosmetically pleasing appearance.

Wound synthesis and dermal remodeling can continue for up to four years from the original injury date… the exact time varies among individuals and the age of the patient is a consideration. Therefore any scars must be over at least 12 months in age before treatment can commence. Depending on the severity of the scar more than one treatment may be required.
